Portable Truck GPS is based on TeleType's award winning
navigation product line. This touch screen display
GPS is specifically designed for truck drivers, bus
drivers, and RV'ers. This GPS insures that routes
will follow roads that are suitable for truck travel,
and yet the commercial driver can rely on the routing
as it takes into account commercial truck restrictions
such as bridge heights and clearances, load limits,
and one-way road designations. The WorldNav Truck
GPS can also be configured for Hazmat loads. While
a typical truck configuration would be 13'6"
height, 80,000 lb weight, and 53' length, you can
easily change the settings for precision routing based
on the exact characteristics of the vehicle. For example,
you can change the characteristics to be 12’6"
and 50,000 lb weight, or even 120,000 lb weight and
100 feet height. TeleType offers the only solution
which allows you to customize your truck characteristics
with such flexibility and display the maps based on
vehicle characteristics. Easily change the specifications
to suit your truck including oversized and overweight
vehicles. Optional updates are available at least
twice per year. TeleType offers innovative engineering
and has resulted in patented technology.
