One of the benefits of the TeleType GPS system is
it's versatility of hardware configurations.
Combining the power of the TeleType GPS software and
expandability of hardware configurations, you have
the opportunity to configure specialized solutions
ranging from the use of Bluetooth to Remote Vehicle
Tracking.
Bluetooth
If you plan to use a Bluetooth (BT) expansion
card, contact the manufacturer of the BT card for
technical support if needed as TeleType does not
offer technical assistance on the use of BT
expansion cards. TeleType recommends that BT GPS
receivers be used on BT enabled devices rather than
attempting to use BT expansion cards.
Wireless LAN
Cisco, Linksys
WCF12 Wireless CompactFlash
Card (type I), and
Compaq (PCMCIA Type II)
802.b11 wireless
cards have been tested and
do work in conjunction with
the TeleType Rugged GPS
receiver and the Compact
Flash v3.0 GPS.
Specialized GPS receiver bundles
TeleType offers many specialized bundles including
special receivers such as the "Rugged PCMCIA/CF" and
the "PCMCIA Serial.
Note
that while some TeleType GPS receivers
have a flat back, some wireless device cards
have tops
which are too thick to be
used in combination with the
GPS card. We recommend to use TeleType GPS PCMCIA serial
device (part Part #1303
or Part
#1307) instead.
Vehicle Tracking
Fleet tracking using Satellite communications, GPS,
and most recently, GSM/SMS communications allows
specialized functions for mobile tracking and
central station tracking of the location of vehicles
on land, air, and water.
Autopilot
Aviation autopilot is possible with the Porcine Associates
Smart Coupler II/Smart
Coupler II LE and our software.
