December 19, 2002 — Boston based TeleType Co. has developed a unique mobile vehicle tracking solution based on TeleType GPS software, TeleType GPS enabled maps, and the T-Mobile Pocket PC phone. The system is based on the TeleType GPS Mini-AutoGPS with a special plug-in software module and allows users to track any number of vehicles in an "I see you, You see me" environment. The T-Mobile Pocket PC phone with built-in telecommunications facility, allows TeleType the ability to offer an inexpensive, highly integrated GPS based tracking device which can be used to locate family members, high profile executives, security and service personnel, and function as a high-end navigator for streets, air, and marine at the same time. With the purchase of the T-MobileTracker module, the user will be given a license to use the TeleType GPS software and GPS receiver to accomplish remote tracking. No annual fees or charges are incurred by the user of the system for vehicle tracking, the user simply pays the airtime/data charges directly to T-Mobile. The product is expected to begin shipping by the end of 2002.
