Aviation Checklist

1. Download the Aviation Utilities from the URL you were provided or insert the TeleType GPS Aviation CD.  

           CD only:

• Select Install Aviation Utilities from the splash screen that appears when you put the CD in your CD-ROM drive.

           Download only:   

• Double click on AviationUtilities.exe.  

2. The following screen will appear, click Next.

3. Accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.

4. Click Browse if you wish install the files to a different location than the default location shown below. Click Next to install to this location.

6. Select Check List and click Next. Another screen will appear, click Install.

7. When the following screen appears, click Yes. Then another screen will appear, telling you to check your PDA to see if any additional steps are necessary. Click OK.

Click 'Yes' to install to the default location.

8. Now you can see the program Pilot Checklist in your Pocket PC.

Creating Your Own Checklist  

Note: .cfg denotes a Checklist configuration file.  

1. In your Checklist folder, make a copy of C152.cfg (a sample checklist for Cessna 152), select Save As and give it a new name such as C172 (Cessna 172).
      

2. Open the new file with Notepad, WordPad, or Word.  Category headings are specified as [lists] and will appear at the bottom of the screen after installation. You can change any of the entries including category names and list entries as desired. 
   

3. Once the file has been updated to reflect your checklist, then the new .cfg file should be copied to the Pocket PC. To copy the file from desktop/laptop to Pocket PC, you should copy the file c172.cfg to the directory of My Computer > Mobile Device > My Pocket PC > My Documents.  
   
   Note: You can save the new file as any name you wish to call, but remember to use .cfg file type.
