Steps:
1. Load the appropriate Marine charts for your trip. For instructions on loading Marine charts, please see Loading Marine Charts.
2. Follow the steps for Adding / Creating Waypoints in the Adding / Deleting Waypoints section of the manual.
3. Once you have selected a desired set of waypoints, select Marine->Plan/Edit Trip.
4. In the Trip Planner Window, select the waypoints that you want to add to your trip and then click Add.

5. If you want to make changes to your trip, refer to section Editing a Trip. If you are satisfied with you Trip, click on the Save button.
6. A window will appear prompting you to name your Trip. After giving your Trip a name, click on the Save button.

The extension for your Trip files are saved as nameGiven.trp. Your .trp files are by default located on your primary hard drive in the directory C:\Program Files\GPS\

7. After you save your Trip, you should see a green line on the screen. This green line is similar to the line that displays when you create a route in Street Navigation Mode.
