(for PDA use with your GPS receiver)

Preparing for your first Marine to Land trip with TeleType GPS:

1. Install TeleType GPS Pro program to PC (see Software Documentation)

2. Install all maps to PC (see Installing Marine Charts for Marine maps and Software Documentation
for Street maps)

3. Sync PC to PDA

4. Install program to PDA (see Software Documentation
)

5. Activate the TeleType GPS Pro application on the PC.

6. Using the Manage Maps function, transfer the maps you would like to use on your PDA. See Exporting Marine Charts for more information on transferring both street and marine maps. (Note: This requires an Active Sync connection)

7. Remove PDA from cradle/sync.

8. Insert CF receiver or pair bluetooth receiver (see Locking into position)

9. Activate TeleType GPS on the PDA

Navigating on Water:

1. To begin your marine trip, make sure you are in Marine Navigation (select Tools > Navigation > Marine)

2. Load the appropriate maps (see Loading Marine Charts)

3. Set Marine Preferences (see Set Marine Preferences)

4. Plan your trip (see Planning a Trip)

5. Once your position is locked (see Locking into position) you can set out on your trip.

6. You may change preferences, zoom level, or even waypoints while traveling to best suit your needs.

Navigating on Land:

1. Once you arrive at your destination port, it is simple to begin street navigation (select Tools > Navigation > Street)

2. You may create a route to an address (similar to creating a Trip, see Software Documentation
)

3. You can search for a hotel, restaurant, or address by selecting Tools > Find and entering the appropriate criteria. This will add the location to your waypoints. You can even route directly from your locked in position to any waypoint you have added. For more information, see Software Documentation
