Starting a Trip

Starting a trip takes your current location (requires lock-in) and compares it with all the waypoints in your planned trip. It will then find the closest waypoint to your current location and start your course on that waypoint. To use this feature, follow the instructions below.


Steps:

1. First you must create a trip or have one loaded. For more information on this, refer to sections Planning a Trip and/or Loading a Trip.

2. Make sure that you are locked into position. This is indicated by a solid red arrow in the center of your map screen.

3. Select Marine from the menu options.

4. Click on Start Trip.

5. A window will come up the screen asking you to select a trip and the next waypoint to go to.

6. Select your trip in the first drop-down menu (if you have more than 1 trip loaded).

7. Select your next waypoint in the second drop-down menu.

8. Click on the Ok button.

After clicking on the Ok button, it might take the GPS some time before it will find the closest waypoint to your current location.

ATE stands for Actual Time Enroute.
