Unloading maps is the process of removing them from view; these maps will remain on your computer for future use.
There are several ways to unload maps from view:
1. To unload maps from the program, select File, and select Manage Maps. Now select Unload All to unload all the maps you currently have loaded. This will leave only the basemap loaded (such as us_place.ttm), and unload all other maps. This will also unload any route you may have generated. You may also select one map at a time from the displayed list and select Unload Selected Map. To unload multiple maps and not all the maps, you may press the ctrl key on the keyboard or tap the ctrl button in your keyboard panel on your PDA.
2. You can unload a map by right-clicking (tapping and holding) on an area and selecting Load/Unload Maps from the menu that appears. Then choose Unload Maps and select the type of maps you wish to unload.
3. If you are using the Auto Load maps feature, the street or aviation maps for an area will automatically be unloaded when you leave an area (Note: This feature is only available for street and aviation mode).
