(for PDA use with your GPS receiver)


Your first road trip with TeleType GPS:

1.Install program to PC.  
 
2.Install all maps to PC.  
 
3.Sync PC to PDA.  
 
4.Install program to PDA.  
 
5. Activate the TeleType GPS application on the PC.  
 
6.Transfer the maps you would like to use on your PDA using the Transfer > Storage Maps > Streets. Choose the county, state, or country you would like to transfer, and choose the destination. Once you have chosen what you would like to transfer, click on Transfer.  
(Note: This requires an ActiveSync connection.)  
 
7. Remove PDA from cradle/sync.  
 
8. Insert Compact Flash (CF) GPS or pair your Bluetooth receiver. (Note: See necessary documentation if you have questions about this.)  
 
9.Activate TeleType GPS on PDA.  
 
10.Select Route > New, and choose your starting point and destination, and perform your route. You can view your route by going to Route > View.  
 
11.Select Tools > GPS Status. Go to the Status tab, tap on Open Port (if button is available). Verify that there is data flowing. Close window.  
     
12.Go outside, lock in. Go to Tools > Preferences > City/Road/YP/WPT (View > Preferences > City/Road/YP/WPT on PC), and turn on auto-loading of maps as you travel so that the maps for your current area will automatically appear on-screen.  
     
13.Select Head Up vs. North Up. Go to Tools > Preferences > Navigation tab (View > Preferences > Navigation on PC).  
     
 
14.View detailed panel at bottom of screen for navigation directions.
