Yellow Pages (YPs) represent places of special importance to people. On a map, they are represented by small red dots that signify the locations of restaurants, gas stations, banks, hospitals, tourist attractions, and hotels, just to name a few.

note
Our new Yellow Pages now include all of the former Yellow Pages listings, as well as former points of interest (POIs). Premium Yellow Pages are available and can be purchased as an add-on for US maps only. Other countries (excluding Canada) only have standard POIs.

Loading Yellow Pages

Yellow Pages are viewable when you are at a specific zoom level, depending on location. Make sure you have zoomed in close enough (usually within 1000ft or 500m) to the map, and follow these instructions to load YPs:

1.Right-click or tap and hold anywhere on the map until the pop-up menu appears.
2.Select Load/Unload.
3.On the Load/Unload Maps window, select Load and check the Yellow Pages box. Then click OK.
4.You should now see many red dots on the map. Zoom in closer to reduce clutter.
5.Click or tap on a Yellow Pages point to learn more about that location.

The TeleType GPS software also includes a useful feature for loading and unloading Yellow Pages as you travel. This is especially convenient since it reduces the hassle people need to go through in order to load up Yellow Pages while driving, not to mention that loading all Yellow Pages for an area can cause slow performance on your PC and PDA.

1.Select View > Preferences (Tools > Preferences on the PDA).
2.Go to the City/Road/YP/WPT tab.
3.Under Auto Load/Unload as Traveling, check the box next to Yellow Pages, and exit the window.
