This procedure will help you install the software to both the PC and PDA.

If you are upgrading to version 062005, please make sure you uninstall all previous versions from your PC and PDA before continuing with this installation.

When you are changing versions, things like waypoints and history of addresses will not get deleted. These are saved unless you manually delete them.

Please do not try to install the PC version of Teletype software onto your Pocket PC. Doing this will not work. You have to install the PC version of Teletype software onto your desktop PC, and the Pocket PC version of the software onto your Pocket PC. The installer should do this automatically for you.

For PCs:

1.	Insert the TeleType GPS Program CD into your CD-ROM drive.

2.	An automatic splash screen will appear.

3.	Select Install TeleType GPS Pro.

4.	From the Select Components screen, check PC to install to your desktop or laptop computer.

5.	Click Next to continue.

6.	The installer will prompt you for a location to install the software. The default location of C:\Program Files\GPS will work fine for most systems.

7.	When the installation is complete, you may exit the installer.

For PDAs:

1.	Insert the TeleType GPS Program CD into your PC's CD-ROM drive.

2.	An automatic splash screen will appear.

3.	Select Install Program.

4.	Select Pocket PC to install to PDAs (like the HP iPaq or Dell Axim), or select CE to install to palm top or hand held PC devices running on Windows CE (such as the HP Jornada). Note: You must be connected through ActiveSync in order for this installation to work.

5.	Click Next to continue.

6.	The ActiveSync Add/Remove Programs window will be displayed, asking if you want to install TeleType GPS to the default location. For proper program operation, allow the software to install to the default location (typically main memory of the PDA or hand held device).

Do not install to File Store.

7.	When the installation is complete, ActiveSync will pop up a window asking you to "See if additional steps are necessary to complete the installation". Click OK and installation will be complete.

Make sure you install the latest version maps as well, as older version maps are incompatible with newer version software.

After installing the TeleType GPS Pro, you need to install the maps. If you do not install the maps, you will not be able to navigate.
